The model we recommend for bird dispersal
When customers contacted us about moving birds off a site, this was the product we named. Geese and doves respond to a moving green beam as they would to an approaching physical threat, and unlike gas cannons or netting it works without noise, without permanent installation and without altering the site. Our FAQ recommended the 200mW green for this purpose for years, and it was the most requested professional model we sold before we stopped selling it in the UK.

Conditions that suit it
Bird work is mostly done at dawn and dusk, and that is when a green beam performs best. Grounds staff, farm managers, marina operators, waste and recycling sites and facilities teams responsible for large flat roofs are the typical buyers. The technique is patient rather than dramatic: the beam is swept slowly across the ground ahead of the flock rather than aimed at individual birds, and sites are usually worked repeatedly over several days until the birds relocate.
A rechargeable platform, not a disposable pen
This is a different class of tool from a AAA pointer. It runs on a rechargeable 18650 cell with its own charger, both supplied, so the running cost of regular daily use is effectively nil. Two safety keys and a storage box come in the kit, and the whole thing packs down into something that lives in a van.
