The green pointer most of our customers choose

The Emax green laser pointer is the single most popular product we sell, and the reason is straightforward: green sits at the point in the visible spectrum where the human eye responds most strongly, so a green beam reads as brighter than a red or violet one of comparable output. Emax quotes a range of 4,000 to 4,500 metres for this model, and the beam itself is visible in darkened rooms rather than only appearing as a dot on the target.

Where it earns its keep

Amateur astronomers use it to trace constellations and pick out planets for a group standing beside them, which is difficult to do by hand and impossible to do quietly. Lecturers and trainers use it to indicate detail on a projection screen from the back of a room without walking to the front. It is equally at home at an event or gig where you simply want a bright beam to play with.

Temperature swings do not stop it working, so it is as usable on a cold winter’s night outdoors as it is in a warm meeting room.

Build and power

The pointer runs on two AAA batteries, which are included, so there is nothing to charge before first use and replacements cost pence from any supermarket.

  4. adil –

Unbelievably good. At first I did not trust it, but now I really do. A clearly visible beam even in daylight. Now I want to try it at night.

Good pen. The batteries it comes with are a little weak.

  9. jan –

Nice pen and it reaches a long way, but it does not manage 4000 to 4500 metres. I think it stops at around 3500. Otherwise a lovely little pen.

Nice thing. I took the clip off the pen and mounted it on my son’s toy gun. He loves it. I think it is a fun laser pointer.

Fantastic laser, really recommended. In the dark you can see the whole beam and it looks great. It reaches a long way. This really is a reliable site.

I bought one too, great thing. The only drawback is that you can see the beam, as someone else mentioned, which makes it easier to be spotted. Great thing.

Good laser, it has a visible beam. Top marks.

The laser works superbly, the only thing is that the button you press is a little loose. But it is still great.

This is simply brilliant. Nice sharp dot, good and bright, definitely recommended.

  29. Tunahan –

The batteries that come with it do not last very long. By the evening I was only getting a sad little dot. But once I put freshly charged rechargeable batteries in, that tiny dot turned into a full circle. Great site with great products.

Really good service. Ordered four lasers on Monday night and they arrived on Wednesday. Violet, green and red. The green one is the most visible but they are all lovely. A nice tip: point a laser at a hanging crystal. With a bit of wind you get a beautiful light show. Thanks for the good service, and enjoy, everyone.

Actions rather than words, and that is exactly what you get here. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a laser.
